This Land Cruiser 100 Series 50th Anniversary is the kind of Toyota that needs very little introduction. Built at the height of Toyota’s over-engineered era, this limited-edition 100 Series combines proper old-school Land Cruiser toughness with comfort, space and the kind of reliability these trucks became famous for.
Launched to celebrate 50 years of the Land Cruiser name, the 50th Anniversary model was based on the eight-seat GXL and limited to only 1,000 units. It received special features including the 50th Anniversary badging, Royale alloy wheels, chrome grille, front fog lights, aluminium side steps, Moquette velour trim, power windows, power mirrors, ABS, dual airbags, full-time 4WD and centre differential lock.
This example presents in the correct Aqua Metallic-style finish with pewter lower trim, giving it that proper period 100 Series look. It still wears its 50th Anniversary badging, Twin Cam Multivalve decals, factory-style alloys and chrome exterior details.
Powered by Toyota’s strong petrol straight-six engine, paired with an automatic transmission, this Land Cruiser is built for long-distance comfort, towing, family use and proper 4x4 work. The odometer shows 326,623 km, which is nothing unusual for a well-kept Land Cruiser of this era.
Inside, the grey velour interior is neat and honest. The seats present well, the cabin still has its original Toyota feel, and the vehicle comes with books and stamped service history, with records shown up to the 320,000 km service.
