This 1982 Alfa Romeo GTV6 2.5 is a highly original survivor that recently emerged from 12 years of dry storage. Power comes from the legendary original 2.5L "Busso" V6 engine, which was completely rebuilt 30,000 km ago. The car has covered 178,000 km in total, but has only been driven roughly 20,000 km since its long-term storage.
It is currently a rewarding work in progress that the owner is slowly attending to, but it can absolutely be purchased as-is. It features a brand-new windscreen and a fresh set of tyres, and it has been brought up to a reasonably good running state. The original engine is solid but will require a proper injector cleaning to optimize performance, and the braking system is currently poor due to the car standing.
Cosmetically, there is absolutely no rust on the vehicle. The paintwork presents well overall, showing only a few minor cracks specifically located around the sunroof, alongside a few light scratches here and there from age.
For the serious collector, this GTV6 offers exceptional provenance, coming complete with its original logbook from new and an immaculate, original factory toolkit. The vehicle is currently deregistered with all necessary documentation in hand, ensuring a straightforward process to get it licensed and back on the road.
