The 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible is pure old-school American motoring. It is long, low, loud and built for relaxed summer cruising with the roof folded down. Finished in bright yellow with a contrasting black convertible roof, this Galaxie has a strong custom presence. The black Foose wheels, lowered stance and black trim give it a tougher look without taking away from its unmistakable 1960s shape.
Under the bonnet sits a 408ci Ford V8, paired with an automatic gearbox. It starts, runs and drives, delivering the deep V8 soundtrack and effortless cruising character that suits a full-size Ford like this. Stopping power has also been improved, with disc brakes fitted to all four corners.
The cabin has been tastefully redone in black, featuring diamond-stitched upholstery, matching door panels, a wood-rim steering wheel and seating for the family. It is comfortable, spacious and ready for weekends, shows or a relaxed Sunday drive. The car presents well overall, although there are a few marks and imperfections on the body. They do not affect its usability, but a buyer chasing a show-level finish may want to attend to them over time.
