The Triumph TR3 is a British sports car produced between 1955 and 1962 by the Standard-Triumph Motor Company of Coventry, England.

A traditional roadster, the TR3 is an evolution of the company's earlier TR2 model, with greater power and improved braking.

The Triumph TR3A is a beautiful classic British sports car. Originally developed from the TR2, the TR3 provides an enjoyable drive from its hearty engine and refined chassis. Essentially a facelift of the standard TR3, the TR3A offered a new wider front grille, exterior door handles and a lockable boot. The new look gave the car a wider stance and much more grown up look. The rugged ‘side screen’ TR, so named for its employment of removable Plexiglas side curtains, was a sales and motorsport success. The Triumph was campaigned in races, hill climbs, and rallies across Europe and North America, with several outright, team, and class victories to its credit.

This 1962 example is a UK right-hand drive car, so is one of the few 1,286 UK cars built. The car is finished in this stunning Black with all chrome trimming colour scheme with the lighter tan interior.

Factory options and extras – Triumph offered a wide range of optional parts and accessories for both the competition-minded enthusiast and those simply wishing to personalize their vehicle. Among these was a steel hardtop kit (part No. 900711) that this stunning car comes with.

The lines are exceptional, with a stunning view from all angles, she is a fantastic driver and ready to keep impressing her new owner, she has done some great long distance trips in her past (were driven from Zambia to KZN) and, with a quick once over after taking a break from driving the last couple of years, she is ready to be enjoyed!
