This 1913 Hupmobile Model 32 Touring is a genuine piece of South African automotive history. Originally brought to the country in 1913 and sold at an agricultural show in Murraysburg for £285, this pre-w open-top tourer remained in a single family's care for an astonishing 75 years, covering over 200,000 miles across its storied life.
 
The vehicle is being offered as a dual-option listing: purchased as-is for R145,000 or in fully running condition for R195,000. Currently fitted with a Willys CJ2 side-valve engine mated to a 1933 Chevrolet gearbox, the installed unit is stripped down for inspection and requires new rings. Crucially, the sale includes the original 1913 Hupmobile engine, which turns freely and accompanies the vehicle for full restoration potential.
 
Cosmetically, the car preserves its authentic, classic pre-w charm, complete with its original wooden-spoke wheels, period-correct front axle, intact brass detailing, and classic touring bodywork. The seats were previously reupholstered. Registration paperwork is fully in order.
